Luana Maroja

Luana is an evolutionary biologist. Her area of research is hybridization and speciation and she has worked with insects, mammals and plants. Luana grew up during dictatorship in Brazil and is concerned with the spread of identity politics, support for speech restrictions and cancel culture on college campuses. Luana is also concerned with the infiltration of ideology in biology and recently co-authored this paper: https://skepticalinquirer.org/2023/06/the-ideological-subversion-of-biology/ Luana is one of the coordinators of HxSTEM group.
